UFC star William Knight entered the UFC’s Apex facility to snap his 2-loss streak in the Octagon at UFC Vegas 69. Instead of returning to the winner’s column, the light heavyweight fighter put in a horrendous display as he became a punching bag for his opponent, Marcin Prachnio. The American fighter thus further slid to the third consecutive loss and later on received flake for his lackluster performance. The ‘Knightmare’ who made the next upsurge in his career as he joined UFC in 2020 has yet to replicate the flashes of the brilliance he showed earlier. However, the Connecticut-born acknowledged the lack of intent on his part as he accepted bouquets and brickbats from his critics and supporters alike.

Notably, the 34-year-old took to Instagram to post a sincere apology to his team, fans, and family for freezing up in the fight. In the fight that went the distance, the fighter remained inactive for most of the fight and in the second round, faced the brunt of the leg kicks that his opponent effectively employed. The final round repeated the same theme as he appeared in agony as the leg kicks worked wonders against him.

The Thornton Mixed Martial Arts representative admitted he didn’t do his part and, as a result, he lost the fight. Further, he took ownership of his actions as he conceded he ‘didn’t do sh*t’. He also mentioned he was aware of what he had to do in the next fight.

Following this, the 11-5 record holder agreed he didn’t even try his best. Additionally, he said, “I made it out there, I f*cking touched gloves, and I went my three rounds. That’s the best I could have done.”

“I froze up, I f*cked up, I lost. What comes with it comes with it. All the people talking their crap, I accept it. All the people showing love, I accept it,” he added later on.

Lastly, Knight announced one couldn’t please everyone at the end of the day.

Similarly, in the caption, the UFC fighter extended his apology to all the people he let down. And especially to himself. Thus, he wrote, “I apologize to my team, my fans, my family idk what was going on. I froze up like a b*tch and I take 100% responsibility for that MY APOLOGIZE”
