Two of the most reputed UFC lightweights are engaging in a back-and-forth social media banter with each other. Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson are going guns blazing, taking shots at each other. Showing there’s no love lost between the two fighters, earlier, McGregor had issued a warning to Tony over social media.

In response to a tweet from Tony, McGregor stated that he hasn’t forgotten about things Tony said about the Irishman in the past. He added that he will ‘end‘ Tony, and he will do so quite ‘badly.’ Meanwhile, firing back at McGregor, Tony has issued a response and called him a ‘b**ch’ in his reply. Firstly, McGregor took to Twitter and commented on one of Tony’s tweets and said, “I’m gonna end you and badly. I’ve not forgot.” Tony responded to the Irishman by saying, “Ahh There’s My B**ch,.. Took A Few To Get Your Attention Ehh??!,” implying it took a few tweets from Tony to get the Irishman’s attention.

 

‘El Cucuy’ continued and claimed that the former two-division UFC champion had previously worked for him, and added, “I fired your a** for not doing your job.” He concluded his reply by urging Conor to sign a fight contract as soon as the latter was done resolving his legal issues.

Tony is in the mix with Michael Chandler

Recently, UFC President  Dana White confirmed plans for McGregor’s return. He stated that the Irishman will fight Michael Chandler on his octagon return early next year. However, with this ongoing banter with Tony, McGregor is keeping his options open for a potential fight.

Tony’s recent run in the UFC has taken a downward turn, as the fighter who once enjoyed a 12-fight winning streak now finds himself on the losing side in his last six octagon appearances. In his tweet that led McGregor to respond, ‘El Cucuy’ opened up about his recent struggles in the UFC.

He mentioned that he isn’t retiring and intends to continue fighting. ‘El Cucuy’ shared a 10-pointer list and highlighted that he isn’t retiring.
