Joe Rogan and his guest for the recent episode of the JRE recently touched upon the topic of Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf and his trouble with the law. Shia LaBeouf rose to fame with his work in the movie Transformers, back in 2007. The 36-year-old actor was hit with allegations of se*ual battery and physical and verbal abuse by singer-songwriter FKA Twigs.

LaBeouf appeared in an interview with Variety where he talked about his relationship with the British singer. They met in 2019 while filming the movie “Honey Boy” and started dating a year later. FKA Twigs had accused LaBeouf of attacking her violently and even knowingly infecting her with a se*ually transmitted disease (STD).

LaBeouf admitted to hurting her, although he didn’t take FKA Twigs’s name. He also admitted during their relationship, he had hurt other people too. LaBeouf even went on to admit that he had been selfish and inconsiderate at that point in his life.

Jon Bernthal tells Joe Rogan about Shia LaBeouf

Jon Bernthal appeared as the guest for the Joe Rogan Experience #1916. The ‘Punisher’ actor talked about having Shia LaBeouf in his podcast. He said, “He [LaBeouf] was a guy, you know when we did ‘Fury’ together, that was such a wild experience. He was the guy who came in, he like pulled his tooth out because he thought his character shouldn’t have a tooth, he cut his face, he didn’t shower for months.”

Jon Bernthal admitted that at first, he thought Shia LaBeouf was a loud personality showing how hard he was working to perfect his work. But as time passed during filming, Bernthal started appreciating LaBeouf and found him as a ‘kindred spirit’. He believes that Shia LaBeouf was the best actor he worked with.

“I had him on to celebrate where he was at because for a long he had taken a lot of s**t from the industry and here he was on top of the world,” said Bernthal. He continued, “Then this woman said he did these things to her, and he was just done, canceled. When I heard he’d done those things, and with the s**t I’ve seen and all the s**t I’ve done; I can’t be down with you if you put your hands on a woman or a child.”

Jon Bernthal also said he faced a lot of backlash for having Shia LaBeouf on his show. He said, “Just the fact that I had him on, I got enormous amount of backlash for really the first time kind of like a public person kinda hatred and the fact that I had given somebody who may have done these things that this woman says, that really hurt people. I felt f*****g terrible.

FKA Twigs’s lawsuit trial will take place in April 2023. This lawsuit has damaged LaBeouf’s career and status as an actor. They have blacklisted him from Hollywood. We will have to wait and see what the jury uncovers as we approach the trial.
