Kamaru Usman is not only hailed as the Pound-for-pound king but also the sports’ humble and respectable athlete. Usman is on the lookout to cross over and face boxing legend, Canelo Alvarez. UFC Welterweight Champion recently spoke about what he feels about boxing a fierce opponent like Alvarez.
Recently, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ confessed that he feels scared and wants to test himself against Alvarez inside the ring. Moreover, Usman is apparently pursuing to create a ‘pay-day’ from this possible match-up.

In a recent interview, Usman said that he thrives on challenging situations and perhaps ‘Cinnamon’ is going to be one such challenge. “So, this is something that I would love to do. I want to test myself in that way and I want to be scared again in that one. Not to say I’m not scared when I fight these guys, I am scared. But to go in there with that guy. It’s scary. And I definitely thrive in those situations,” said Usman.
After asking about the possibility of facing Canelo in the ring, ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ replied: “Yes! I believe it can for sure. If there’s a right amount. If it makes money for the company, if it makes dollars, it makes sense…It definitely could happen. He’s expressed his interest in it. All it is you pick up a phone, make the call, let’s get it going,” added Usman.

UFC President Dana White doesn’t approve of Canelo Alvarez vs. Kamaru Usman Fight
Kamaru Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, recently urged Dana White to promote the potential fight between Alvarez and Usman. But seems like Dana White is not in the same lines with Abdelaziz as he has shot down this match-up saying that he doesn’t like it.

“I think that [Usman] serious about it, he shouldn’t be serious about it. I don’t like that fight at all. Everything about it is horrible. Usman is not a boxer. Canelo is probably the best guy out there right now. It’s a stupid fight that makes no sense,” answered Dana White.
