The current UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, has come up with his own documentary. The streaming giant Netflix will add Adesanya’s documentary to their rich collection of sports documentaries. ‘The Last Stylebender’s documentary is directed by Zoe Macintosh. The debut of the documentary will take place at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York City this June. The director has been working with the middleweight champion since 2018. He has tried his best to capture the inspiring instances of the fighter’s life.
Israel Adesanya talks about his own documentary

Adesanya recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, ‘Freestylebender’ . In the video, the Nigerian fighter is seen talking about his new documentary. He said, “I’ve seen it two times now over the last nine months or so at a certain stage when it wasn’t really finished and like the stage where it was like 95 percent or 98 finished… Even if I’m not the protagonist in this, it’s not about me, it’s just about some other athlete, I feel like people need to watch this. Men need to watch this. There’s a lot of stuff you can learn even if you don’t like me.“
He further added, “Like there’s a lot of stuff you can learn about… Being just emotionally intelligent, being a killer, being a Savage, being a lion but being a lamb Like the duality of it the masculine and feminine within all of us like the balance of person. There’s a lot of stuff even when I watch it, I’m like it’s cool to see yourself from that point of view, but yeah, it has got a good message.” From the words of Adesanya, it was clear that he was quite proud of his documentary and wanted people to see it.

In the latter part of the conversation, Adesanya talked about how his documentary might invite a lot of criticism as well. The middleweight champion is ready to face them all. Adesanya made the announcement of his documentary through his Instagram account. The star shared a poster of his documentary, along with which he wrote, “Finally, all in divine timing“. He announced the details of his documentary soon after he won the title bout against Alex Pereira.
Adesanya and Pereira have locked horns a total of four times. In all the previous three matches, it was ‘Poatan’ who won the bout. However, when they clashed for the fourth time, the game changed totally in favor of Adesanya. His reign as a middleweight champion once again made his documentary all the more interesting for fans to watch.
