Rob Font missed weight ahead of the bout
On Friday, the New England Cartel fighter missed weight and stepped on the scales at 138.5 lbs. Consequently, Vera got 20% of Font’s fight purse.
Usually, a bad weight cut hampers the performance of the fighter, but Font didn’t seem to be affected. He looked on point with his jab in round 1 and overall displayed New England Cartel boxing skills. That said, the later rounds were tougher for Font.

Did the weight cut affect Font’s ability to take shots? Or did Marlon Vera’s constant leg kicks and left hooks secure him the win?
