Francis Ngannou dethroned Stipe Miocic as the UFC heavyweight champion at UFC 260. This was the rematch where Ngannou avenged his 2018 decision loss with a devastating knockout. After the dust settled, UFC tried to book a super fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou. However, following a failed negotiation, UFC moved forward with an interim title match between two top heavyweights. It was quite noticeable that they avoided giving the former champion an immediate rematch.

Stipe Miocic is the most accomplished UFC heavyweight champion of all time, yet the Cleveland native finds himself deserted by the company.
In a recent podcast session, Miocic opened up about his relations with Dana White. He said, “Yeah, so we’ll have that interim belt now and then I guess they’re gonna fight. And then Dana out of nowhere said I get the winner of the interim and Francis fight. I am like woo you know because like you Dana White neither.”

Stipe Miocic continued, “I don’t think he likes me because I know every time earlier I was like dude me Jake you Cleveland just to see you know just throw it out there. Let’s do, kill it we’ll make some money, he’s like f**k that I was like ok. You don’t like him either.”
When Stipe Miocic denied Dana White to wrap the title around his waist
Dana White and Stipe Miocic have had their differences since 2018. This was the time when ‘The Predator’ was about to face Miocic at UFC 220. In the build-up of the fight, the UFC promoted Francis Ngannou for his punching power. Hence, Stipe was seen as an underdog in the fight.
The former champion stood tall against all odds and convincingly defeated his opponent. Later, when the UFC president Dana White tried to wrap the belt around his waist, Miocic took the belt and handed it to his coach to do the honors.
Ever since then, the pair has shared a bitter-sweet relationship. Although Stipe Miocic feels Dana White doesn’t like him, the UFC president has never spoken harsh words about Stipe Miocic. Yet what happens behind the scenes is still unknown.
