Following the enormous success of UFC 285, which saw two new champions get crowned in the form of Jon Jones and Alexa Grasso, MMA fans were subject to a surprise as clips of Conor McGregor starring ‘Road House’ started doing the rounds online. In a now-viral clip, we saw actor Jake Gyllenhaal step into the octagon for a fight scene for the movie. UFC President Dana White opined about the experience of having a Hollywood movie shot during a live event,

Surprisingly, White had an interesting take on it. The 53-year-old claimed that although he wasn’t really into all this stuff, he seemed to accept that everything did go down smoothly for the shooting.

While speaking to media after the event, White, when asked about the movie and how the shooting went down, responded: It went pretty smooth considering I don’t really like doing stuff like that, so it went pretty smooth.”

Although he might not enjoy it, the 53-year-old did play his part in the movie. One such scene involved Gyllenhaal facing off against his opponent and the president had to bring out his acting hat for this one.

When asked about that experience, he claimed that it was probably the best he could have done in terms of acting.

“Well, if I cant f****g do that I don’t know what id do. That’s about as much acting as I wanna do ever.”

Dana White claimed that Conor McGregor’s involvement in the movie production made the process involving the UFC go seamlessly.

“Well, Joel Silver is the producer on this thing and he has a great relationship with us and obviously, Ari Emmanuel and Conor is one of the big characters in the movie so we made it pretty easy for him,” explained White. The Hollywood actor event shot footage of him knocking an opponent out in the octagon.

Jake Gyllenhaal shoots fight sequence in Octagon

The clip which had fans talking about the most was Gyllenhaal taking on his opponent inside the cage. In an epic sequence, the actor pretended to KO his opponent with a flying knee after taking some serious punishment.

Since the actor has also been a part of another boxing movie, it’s quite obvious that he already has his fundamentals sorted out.
