UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping has finally responded to Chael Sonnen’s comments regarding a showdown between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. During a conversation with former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub, Sonnen expressed doubt about the likelihood of the highly anticipated Jones-Miocic matchup. Sonnen suggested that the UFC is considering booking Jones to defend his UFC heavyweight title against Sergei Pavlovich instead of Miocic, probably in August. Additionally, ‘The American Gangster’ hinted at the possibility of the Jones-Pavlovich fights taking place at a UFC pay-per-view event in Sydney, Australia.
Responding to these assertions, ‘The Count’ shared his thoughts on his YouTube channel. Bisping completely dismissed Sonnen’s claims, advising the MMA community not to take them seriously. As a UFC employee himself, Bisping stated that he hadn’t heard any information about ‘Bones’ versus Pavlovich.

While talking in a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, the retired UFC legend said, “I don’t know where he’s getting his information and Chael does not even quote a source but here’s what he said he said, ‘I’m hearing strong rumors that the Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones fight is gonna go up in flames and that Sergei Pavlovich versus Jones is happening in August. I’m hearing strong rumors on that’. Okay, he says, ‘I don’t know where they are in agreeing, but that’s at least being pursued’.”
After repeating Sonnen’s words, Bisping added, “Now I will say this as someone that works for the UFC. I have heard nothing of the sort, okay? So this is not me breaking news, saying anything like that. I haven’t heard anything like that. Chael heard it. I don’t know where he heard it.“

Fans can still hope for Jon Jones versus Stipe Miocic
When Jon Jones came back to the UFC after a hiatus of three long years, he made his debut in the heavyweight division to fight Ciryl Gane. Soon after the first-round submission victory against Gane, Jones called out Stipe Miocic. Miocic, who was present in the audience, nodded with a smile after the callout.
