Joe Rogan still hasn’t made peace with Fallon Fox. Both the MMA personalities have been at each other’s throats for quite some time now. Ever since her disclosure as a transgender female, the MMA world has been split in two. While some fighters such as Liz Carmouche wanted to welcome her as an opponent, Miesha Tate declined to fight her due to safety concerns.

The American fighter, prior to her male-to-female transition in 2006, worked as an operations specialist in the Navy. After leaving the Navy, she dropped out of university because of the psychological stress from her unresolved gender issues. The 47-year-old then operated as a truck driver in order to afford s*x reassignment surgery. Following this, Fox stepped into the cage as an amateur in 2011 and had her pro-MMA debut the next year. It was only after she had collected two first-round KO wins that she broke the news to the world in 2013. This drove the color commentator crazy.

The famed podcaster sat down with Ice Cube in Ep. #2004 of JRE. During one segment in the podcast, he had some choice of words for the 5-1 record holder. The standup comic expressed she dodged the bullet by relying upon the pretext of a medical condition.

He said concerning MMA fighter Fallon Fox, “Because that person became a woman for two years, and then started competing as a woman, and not telling them, and saying that it was a medical issue. [Saying] that I don’t have to disclose a medical condition.”

The UFC commentator believes the bone density, the body frame, the bigger hands, and the joints afforded her an unfair advantage. Further, he believed keeping details of the operation undisclosed was a “deception” and a “lie” to the fighters she fought against. He continued, “If that person said that they were a woman and competed against women, that’s deception. That’s a f***ing lie.”

The comedian’s stance also mellowed as he agreed to the place of trans-women in sports but felt the choice lay with the opponent. The buzz around Fox also posed a question of whether the biggest MMA promotion in the world was ready to accept her as a fighter in the future.

But the UFC President Dana White declined to entertain the idea of Fox competing in the UFC. Not only did the UFC head honcho label the idea crazy but also doubted the competence of her opponents. Then UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, also voiced her skepticism to The New York Post and considered such a fight unfair.

Subsequently, the fight offers for Fox dwindled, and marred by injuries, she hung up her MMA gloves. She is currently working ardently for the propagation of transgender rights.
