Masvidal is known for his aggressive fighting style and his willingness to engage in slugfests with his opponents. However, he’s not invincible, and he’s had his fair share of injuries throughout his career. Masvidal recalled one such injury in his recent discussion with Joe Rogan.

In a recent appearance on the JRE MMA Show podcast, Masvidal talked about his preference for stem cell therapy over surgeries when it comes to treating injuries. While talking about his stem cell treatment, Masvidal touched upon the injury he had while fighting Nate Diaz.

In his fight against Diaz, he suffered a brutal hand injury that left him unable to bend his hand properly. It happened when he landed a punch on Diaz’s head. According to Masvidal, the technique behind the punch was not too good.

“It was right after the Nate Diaz fight. Both my hands were jacked. One of the blows that I hit Nate with, I hit him in the top of the head, you can see it in the video, my hand folded. Just kinda had sh*tty technique for that one. I couldn’t even wipe my *ss. The pain that I had, I couldn’t bend it like that.”
