John Kavanagh is one of the most well-known coaches in the MMA scene. He is best known for being the head coach of the UFC legend, Conor McGregor, undoubtedly the biggest MMA star in the world. Whereas, his coach, Kavanagh, has made waves in the Irish MMA scene and still continues to do so.
According to a recent report from the Irish Mirror, John Kavanagh claimed that he feels like he can walk away from professional fighting.

He said, “I could walk away from pro fighting tomorrow. I enjoy it and it’s a lot of fun and I’ve had some great experiences. But what I wouldn’t be able to walk away from is the Monday to Friday on the mats with the guys, the camaraderie, the fun I have with them.”
The coach has many fighters training under him, who compete in the UFC as well as Bellator. According to Kavanagh, the portrayal of professional fighting is more concentrated on the big main events, and a lot less on what goes on in the build-up for the fights.

Kavanagh also made another statement regarding the UFC, on the same lines. He said, “The UFC is the 50,000-pound gorilla in the room, and it’s kinda like the best thing to happen to martial arts and the worst thing to happen to martial arts.”
“But on a negative side, people only get to see the pinnacle and the professional and let’s say somewhat ‘razzmatazz’ showbiz side of Saturday night fighting and big arenas and all that comes with that,” he added further.

John Kavanagh’s most prized possession, Conor McGregor, is now hyping up a return to the UFC after recovering from the nasty leg injury he incurred at UFC 264 last year.
The UFC boss recently weighed in on this topic and confirmed that Mystic Mac will make his UFC comeback towards the end of this year or the start of next year. Dana White also shut down any ongoing rumors of a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.

He said, “It’ll be in the cage. (McGregor’s comeback) Conor is looking to come back at the end of this year, early next year… When I do talk to Conor, Conor wants to fight. Conor gets all kinds of offers for movie roles and all these other things that he can go and do and make money. He doesn’t want to do any of that. Conor wants to fight.”
