Gamrot was inquired by a reporter about his thoughts on the upcoming title clash between Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira.
Gamrot, in his Polish accent, expressed that he does not care about the fight because his wrestling far surpasses anyone. However, he stated that Makhachev will stand victorious in this rematch, and he is interested in Makhachev only. Gamrot said, “I don’t care because my wrestling skills always beat a striker. I am only interested in one guy in this lightweight division, and he’s a wrestler. He is Islam, and I believe he will win against Charles Oliveira. I hope that we meet in the future, maybe next year or two, to two years.”
When he was further inquired whether his wrestling skills were superior to Makhachev’s, Gamrot said, “I think so we’ll see I have to meet him in the octagon and fight with him and then we get the answer who is the better wrestler than myself in my opinion I am the best wrestler in the lightweight Division”
