Francis Ngannou has suffered perhaps the most devastating loss any human can face. The former UFC heavyweight champion has, according to reports, lost his 18-month-old son. The cause of Ngannou’s child is as of yet unknown, needless to say, the Cameroonian is in indescribable pain and sorrow.
While Ngannou hasn’t addressed his son’s death yet, he took to Twitter and wrote a short post, which showed the profound pain he is in. “What’s the purpose of life if what we’re fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!? Why is life so unfair and merciless? Why does life always take what we don’t have? I’m f***ing tired,” Ngannou painfully tweeted.
Of course, this news has come as a shock to everyone in the fight community especially, and the condolences have been pouring in. Including Conor McGregor, who tweeted his support for Ngannou and his family. “I am so sorry to hear of your loss Francis, my prayers are with you and your family at this time ❤️🙏,” McGregor wrote.

UFC world send their condolences to Francis Ngannou
Needless to say, messages of condolences and sympathy have continued to pour in for Francis Ngannou. ‘The Predator’s coach and friend, Eric Nicksick, took to Twitter and expressed his sorrow at the tragedy Ngannou and his family are facing, along with a poignant message to appreciate one’s loved ones while they are still with us.
“It’s been a heavy few days, words can’t express the pain we all feel for the Ngannou family during this time. Please keep Francis and his family in your heart, and may this be a reminder of the fragility of life. Say “I love you,” more often, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. ❤️,” Nicksick wrote.

Former UFC star Terrence McKinney, a father himself, told Ngannou he couldn’t even imagine himself being in such a position, and gave his deepest sympathies to the Cameroonian. “I’m a father with a kid about the same age and I can’t even imagine, I hope you find your peace brotha you deserve it,” he tweeted.
Francis Ngannou is one of the toughest people in a sport for the toughest people. The former UFC champion has had a life where suffering has been a repetitive motif. Ngannou, for example, worked in the sand mines of Africa as a child, crossed a desert and a sea multiple times, came to France with nothing, and still managed to become the UFC heavyweight champion before he turned forty. But none of that compares to the pain and suffering he must be going through right now.
