The biggest podcast on the planet, Joe Rogan Experience, remains the staple source of entertainment for the fans. The popular podcast that revolves around lengthy conversations with the noted guests provides everything under the sun to its listeners.
Therefore, the podcast claimed Spotify’s most popular podcast title for a third-year straight. However, the former ESPN anchor, Jemele Hill, doesn’t concur with the mainstream opinion as she recently expressed doubt about the podcast’s importance.

Hill appeared as a guest on Sarah Spain’s podcast and discussed her recent memoir, Uphill. Also, the sports journalist touched on her deal with the streaming platform, Spotify. Talking in the same segment, she had some harsh words for the JRE podcaster.
What did Jemele Hill say about Joe Rogan?
While mentioning that she shared a complicated relationship with Spotify, Hill also declared, “I don’t know Joe Rogan, I’m not here for Joe Rogan.” Further, she added, “He’s terrible. He irresponsibly uses his platform all the time.”
Similarly, the 46-year-old journalist claimed the conversation would have been different if the Swedish company had treated both podcasters differently. But this was not the case, as she received the same treatment as the 55-year-old.
Following this, the Detroit-based journalist concluded, “On top of that, with me developing this podcast network for black women, that’s more important than Joe Rogan.”
Notably, Hill is most popularly known for her 12-year-long association with ESPN. Also, she launched her podcast- ‘Jemele Hill is Unbothered’ on Spotify in 2019, where she discusses sports, culture, and politics.

However, she recently came in limelight for her comments on Jerry Jones, who is the owner of the NFL team Dallas Cowboys.

Hill, who in a conversation with TMZ, put forth her opinion of the recent Jerry Jones controversy. Calling for the media to hold the American businessman accountable, she also drew a parallel with the NBA star, Kyrie Irving’s incident.

Afterward, she stated that the difference in the treatment of the two was not only a failure by the media, but also indicated a difference in power. Likewise, she pointed out that Irving was a worker while Jones, being an owner, got to dictate the engagement rules.

As a result, Jones didn’t have to be answerable to the media, as often as the Brooklyn Nets star was put to.
