Homelessness remains a significant concern for Ireland, leaving a portion of the nation’s population without housing. Unfortunately, there seem to be limited prominent actions that individuals can take to improve the lives of the homeless, with the prevailing belief that only the government can make a substantial impact. However, the former dual-weight champion of the UFC would argue otherwise.
A November report by “RTENews” claimed that the Department of Housing recorded a total of 13,514 individuals classified as homeless. Among them, 4,105 were children seeking emergency accommodation. The reports were alarming, but Conor McGregor took it as a challenge.
‘The Notorious’ took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to give us an update on his construction work for the homeless. He said “Update on my end. I am now at close to 1000 homes in construction, readying for construction, or already completed construction across Ireland at the moment.” McGregor asserted that he is planning to make more than 1000 homes for the homeless and is willing to contribute more to society.

He further added “All of which for social housing, despite some reports (not surprised) I recently completed a 21 home housing estate that got families in and housed just before the Christmas! The run I am on with this, I am going to keep going! More sites, more work, more families housed. Do your part! Put your money where your mouth is! Don’t just talk the talk. Walk the walk. McGregor Construction for Ireland.” Interestingly, this is not the first time that the former champion has made a substantial contribution to the good cause.
