The team of Conor McGregor finally earned their first victory on TUF 31 after a dreadful 7-fight losing streak to Michael Chandler‘s team. Rico DiSciullo registered perhaps one of the best knockout victories of this season against Hunter Azure. UFC fans were elated with this result and shared their reactions in a post on social media.

Conor McGregor’s team of prospects had a high probability of losing all the fights against Team Chandler’s veterans. There was little to no hope that his team would have bounced back from seven consecutive losses. However, things turned around in the final week of TUF 31.

Prospect Rico DiSciullo took on veteran Hunter Azure in the last quarterfinal fight of TUF 31. As the fight started, Chandler’s teammate went straight for a takedown, but he was denied. As the fight progressed, Azure landed some big strikes on DiSciullo and even mounted him for a brief period. McGregor’s teammate was finding it difficult to get up due to the veteran’s constant ground-and-pound strikes. However, nobody expected the ending of the fight.

Both fighters looked fresh at the start of the second and final round, a rule that McGregor wanted Dana White to change altogether. Meanwhile, DiSciullo landed a stiff overhand right strike that sent Azure down to the mat. That prompted McGregor’s teammate to land a double hammer fist strike, which resembled a move by Marvel superhero Hulk, called the ‘Hulk Smash’. And the fight was over. Let us see what the fans had to say.
