Jon Jones has reportedly gotten rid of his legal troubles ahead of the Stipe Miocic legacy fight at UFC 309. The charges related to the two counts of a misdemeanor involving a couple of drug-testing agents will be dismissed after the judge, named Asra Elliot, approved an agreement that strictly ordered Jones to stay out of trouble for at least 90 days.
In addition to that, Jon Jones has also been ordered to attend anger management sessions for at least 4 hours. If he manages to oversee himself under these conditions for the next three-month period, he’ll be a free man. “As long as Mr. Jones is compliant for the next 90 days, then I can dismiss this case,” Judge Elliot stated as per ‘MMA Fighting’. The hearing took place in a virtual setting as Jones was accompanied by his attorney, Christopher Dodd.
The incident that led to ‘Bones’ getting charged dates back to March this year. A couple of agents from Drug-Free Sport International visited the UFC champ’s residence, but he was unable to provide any samples. One of those agents, Crystal Martinez, would later claim that Jones seemed a bit “agitated” when they arrived at his residence, who’d offer them to take his blood samples.

Martinez would also claim that Jon Jones allegedly got a little physical as he took her phone and started recording them. However, the 37-year-old seems to be in a better position now after all these months. He’s got that chance to redeem himself now by avoiding any kinds of other legal troubles for the next three-month period. But what would have happened to Jones if he had to go through with the charges? Let’s check that out.

However, there are times when judges decide to delay imprisonment sentencing and instead place the offender on probation. The terms of probation may require the performance of community service, participation in therapy or treatment programs, and reimbursement to the victim. It seems like Jon Jones might have gotten the second aforementioned option regarding his recent legal trouble.
