“How’s Your Hand?”- Bodybuilding Heartthrob Sara Saffari on Dana White’s Power Slap League Has Fans in Splits

Combat sports is a diverse and varied category. It ranges from striking-based sports like boxing, kickboxing, and Karate and grappling-based sports like wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu, to hybrid sports such as Mixed Martial Arts and Judo. And all of them have varying levels of danger and potential for serious injuries and long-term neurological damage. Concussion-heavy sports such as boxing are on the higher end of the damage spectrum, while hybrid sports such as MMA may cause more serious but immediate injuries. But, one sport in all of combat sports stands out, many would say like a sore thumb, in a league of its own.

Power Slap is a slap-fighting promotion, where contestants slap each other in an attempt to knock out their opponent. Recently, Fitness influencer and bodybuilder Bradley Martyn‘s friend Sara Saffari took part in the sport and fans could not contain their excitement.

In a video posted on her official Instagram account, Saffari could be seen going on to the Power Slap stage. She then doused her hand in chalk powder as Power Slap contestants are required to do. After that, the social media star walked up to the podium and slapped the Power Slap combatant dressed in a blue shirt.

The slap from the much smaller Saffari barely did any damage to the slap fighter. Thankfully, it was not an actual slap fight as that would mean Saffari would have had to take a slap from him. Fans reacted to her stunt with a diverse range of reactions, as is expected for a post of this kind.

Many notable doctors and experts have come out against Dana White-owned Power Slap. They cite the elevated risks of CTE that the sport can give its participants as the main reason behind it. But, Dana White has full confidence in the sport. and is going full steam ahead with it.
