The conversation that ignited the idea for JRE
During his conversation with the American-Canadian comedian Tom Green, Rogan had an epiphany; creating and running his podcast will eliminate the influence of corporate organizations.
He said that this was the ‘craziest thing ever’. Moreover, Green explained how there was no pressure, and how it was different from TV and radio. In addition, there wasn’t any time constraint to the format.
Rogan said, “Well not only that. There isn’t that corporate pressure. You can’t just express yourself cause you’re expressing yourself to someone who’s selling advertising space. This, you need to just keep doing this. We need to figure out how you make money from this.”
Rogan explained why he valued working free of restraints

In the interview, the 55-year-old candidly explained the reason why he loved the idea of creating his venture, as it would be free from restraint.
Moreover, he felt that non-creative people in suits were in charge of the creative people. The 55-year-old podcast host despised this constraint and did not want to push a message for those in the advertising space.
