Joe Rogan in 2019 invited Lightweight prospect Khalil Rountree in one of his JRE episodes. During the conversation, the pair discussed an array of things. However, they quickly shifted their focus to Michael ‘Venom’ Page who was scheduled to face Douglas Lima at Bellator 221. Page went on to lose the fight and suffered the first loss of his MMA career. However, during the conversation, both Rogan and Rountree seemed very impressed by Page and his fighting style.

Rogan said,  “Venom Page is, he’s a real f***ing hard pill to swallow, man. Figure that guy out? Who the f**k can you bring in to train that can move like him?”. He further pointed out how such fights can help Bellator and are worthy of a main-event fight in the UFC.
