Joe Rogan has a hot take about X, and it has surely lit the internet on fire. On his Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan discussed X and claimed that it has become a popular source of news and updates on almost everything. According to the UFC commentator, the biggest names in the television and journalistic industries may disagree, but the social media platform’s “community notes” always provide the information that people need to know.

He said on his podcast, “There’s this giant resistance right now to the idea that X is the news source of the world; it is. It’s the news source of the world.” He further added, “You guys (TV and print journalists) f****d us too many times, and we don’t believe you anymore, and so the only way for us to find out what’s real and what’s not real is if someone posts it online and then everybody looks at it and then you get the community notes.”

If that wasn’t enough, Joe Rogan also took to X to praise the platform as the “most reliable and most popular” news source in the world. Words that reached Elon Musk, a close friend of the JRE host, as he thanked his friend by retweeting his post with the simple caption, “Thanks, Joe, that means a lot coming from you!” It is worth noting that a few days ago, Elon Musk made the stunning revelation that the only reason he bought the platform was to save freedom of speech.

On his latest JRE visit, Musk claimed that he knew buying Twitter was a lost cause because the social media platform was highly overvalued at $44 billion. It was just to protect freedom of speech that Elon Musk decided to buy the platform. However, it seems like fans do not consider it a credible news source, since they soon spoke out against Joe Rogan for his hot take.

Joe Rogan comes under the radar of fans

As soon as Joe Rogan’s hot take reached the ears of the internet users, they were quick to rally against the podcast host for supporting X. Many users claimed that X is a major source of misinformation that gets spread around the world. In fact, Joe Rogan himself fell into its traps in the past. During an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan believed a false article about a law passed by the Australian government that stops its citizens from growing their food.

What’s your perspective on:

Has Joe Rogan sold out, or is he genuinely convinced X is the future of news?

Have an interesting take?

When the JRE host tried finding the article again on his podcast, he realized that it was fake news. So giving him a reminder, some users wrote about how inaccurate news on X can be, “For how often he gets fact-checked, maybe Joe should look into other news sources.” “X, as a reliable source of news is like saying Alex Jones is a reliable source of news.” and “Elon’s own AI, will gladly explain how much dis & misinformation he spreads unabated.”

Some other users were of the opinion that the UFC commentator was getting paid to praise Elon Musk’s platform. After all, ever since Musk bought X, its valuation has dropped by 79% to $9.4 billion from a massive $44 billion. As a result, fans believe that Musk is paying Rogan to keep his platform alive. The users wrote, “How much did he get paid to tweet that?” and “Final payment from Elon will hits joes bank account any day now. Cash is better than Spotify money. Less income tax for Joe.”

It seems like Rogan’s take surely left fans unimpressed. Many fans were simply disappointed at the JRE host and claimed that he has changed and is just lobbying for his friends in power. Far from the much more authentic Rogan, who was known for calling people out. Some fans wrote, “The old Joe is officially dead,” and “His fall from grace will be as epic as his rise. My popcorn is ready.” What do you think? Do you agree with Rogan’s hot take? Let us know in the comments.
