The noted UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, boasts a massive following owing to his multi-directional works. After making himself a noted face in standup comedy, Rogan also became the first-ever UFC behind-the-scenes interviewer. He was one of the earliest in the world of podcasting as well. The 57-year-old started his now insanely popular podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ on 24 December 2009. Back in the day, when Rogan started ‘JRE’, pretty few of us could have imagined that would go on to become a $200M entity one day. But, the success of ‘JRE’ isn’t an overnight story. Although ‘JRE’ had grown in popularity under its initial producer, Brian Redban, it’s the current producer of the show, Jamie Vernon, who took it to all new heights.
Redban gave up his production duties to Vernon, also known as ‘Young Jamie’ in 2012, who was initially hired as a co-producer. By 2015, Vernon’s awesome production work boosted ‘JRE’s popularity massively as it started gaining millions of views per episode. Today, after striking the $200M deal with Spotify, ‘JRE’ has become one of the prime sources of income for Rogan. This also might raise a question about ‘Young Jamie’s earnings from ‘JRE’. So let’s dive in to know a bit more about the financial side of the man who lifted ‘JRE’ to the position of today.

Well, it won’t be wrong to assume that ‘Young Jamie’ would also earn good amounts from ‘JRE’ looking at the lucrative deal they have signed with Spotify. Vernon also holds a super-friendly relationship with the ‘former martial artist’. Rogan has appreciated ‘Young Jamie’s’ efforts behind ‘JRE’ multiple times to date. Apart from his duties as a producer, Vernon also manages the YouTube channel of ‘JRE’ currently and is also a golfer.
Hence, it’s quite apparent that Rogan would also be pretty happy to provide Vernon with his deserved remuneration. But, the available reports about Vernon’s income from ‘JRE’ provided contradictory information, making it harder to determine his exact earnings from ‘JRE’. ‘The Things’ reported Vernon’s annual ‘JRE’ earnings to be between $125,000 and $150,000 per year.
A large chunk of fans might say that Vernon does receive more for his efforts behind Rogan’s coveted show. Do you also think the same way?
What is the net worth of ‘Young Jamie’?
Vernon has been producing Rogan’s coveted podcast for over a decade now. Hence, it may be said that he probably boasts a healthy possession of wealth. But it is not his only source of income. ‘Young Jamie’ has used some of his and Rogan’s quotes as graphics on the apparel that he sells through his website ‘youngjamie.fancollab.com’. He also uses his own Instagram account to promote his brand. Apart from this, Vernon also runs his own YouTube channel with the name ‘Young Jamie’. His channel currently boasts 19.5k subscribers, but looking at the regularity at which he uploads videos, it’s hard to say whether or not he generates any income from it.
But, there are no sources detailing Vernon’s net worth. Hence, we can only present an assumption of what his net worth might be. Looking at all the sources of Vernon’s income, we may assume his net worth to be somewhere around $700,000.
Jamie Vernon’s education, early life, and profession
Vernon earned a degree in Communication and Media Studies from the Ohio State University. Along with that he also has a Associate of Arts Degree from Full Sail University. This university is known for producing high-quality audio designers. So now we might have an idea why ‘JRE’ comes with such crystal clear sounds currently. While his profession as the ‘JRE’ producer and an apparel house owner has already been talked about, only a handful of fans know Vernon is also a photographer.
He has his photography website where he exhibits his professional photography works and prints. Vernon stays available for individual sessions as well. However, his charges depend largely on the complexity of the assignment. Rogan has always praised and talked about Young Jaime in high spirits and loved his input in the podcast.

Rogan spoke about how he met his producer in #2073 of JRE featuring Derek from ‘More Plates, More Dates.’ Rogan took a walk down memory lane and described how he hired the current JRE producer. As always he praised Jaime and said, “One of the things about having a guy like Jamie, it streamlines the process so well. Because Jamie does the job of 3 people.” Interestingly the duo met at a comedy club and Jaime had come to the show at the Ice House. Since he is an audio engineer, he pointed out some sound issues with JRE while talking to the color commentator. Rogan said, “He said we have problems with our sound. I said ‘What would you do to fix it?’ He said ‘I can take a look at it.’”

This was the start of their long friendship and collaboration as Rogan hired him immediately. Rogan hilariously recalled, “I tend to follow instincts, even if people say don’t do that. With him, I was like, I’m gonna hire that dude. I didn’t know sh*t about him. He could have been a f*cking serial killer. He could have been a f*cking con artist.” Luckily Vernon was the best producer in his team and a valuable addition. The duo have known each other for 11 years and started from episode #300.
According to the former comedian, he has an amazing connection to his producer and Vernon has the quality of fetching real-time information about the topics being discussed in a podcast. Even though he mostly works behind the scenes, we know JRE would not be the same without Jaime Vernon. What are your thoughts on ‘Young Jaime’?
