Dillon Danis is gearing up for his first-ever boxing match against Logan Paul. While people are talking about the boxing match, given that it involves a massive social media star, very few people are aware of his fighting record. People often forget that besides generating excellent numbers from his Twitter posts, Danis is also a fighter. He is often regarded as a member of Conor McGregor‘s entourage. It is a known fact that Dillon Danis has been fighting since 2018. Even Logan Paul has constantly reminded him of that fact, setting up a website ahead of their fight on October 14th. Nevertheless, he earned his black belt from Marcelo Garcia, and his grappling career lasted from 2014 to 2017. During that time, some losses came against a few of the most notable names in all the martial arts.

One of his notable defeats came at the hands of arguably the greatest of all time, Gordon Ryan. The 5-time ADCC champion defeated Conor McGregor’s friend at the 2017 ADCC World Championship in an 88kg (194 lbs) bout by decision. Similarly, another one of his losses came against former UFC fighter Jake Shields.

The 44-year-old veteran was in a closely fought grappling match against Dillon Danis, but Shields declared the winner via the fastest escape time. Another notable loss came against Gary Tonon. Danis has won both of his MMA fights, where he showcased his outstanding submission techniques. However, things began to turn problematic after his second MMA fight.

Danis Danis was on a roll after joining Bellator in 2018. He fought twice in less than a year’s time and he won on both occasions. Furthermore, he scored 1st-round finishes in both fights. However, a bad knee injury plagued his career and destroyed the winning momentum.

It remains to be seen if the upcoming boxing match against Logan Paul will be another loss on his fighting record. He teased, pulling out of the fight a few times. But now it looks like he might be willing to get inside the squared circle on October 14th.
