During that time, some losses came against a few of the most notable names in all the martial arts.

One of his notable defeats came at the hands of arguably the greatest of all time, Gordon Ryan. The 5-time ADCC champion defeated Conor McGregor’s friend at the 2017 ADCC World Championship in an 88kg (194 lbs) bout by decision. Similarly, another one of his losses came against former UFC fighter Jake Shields.

The 44-year-old veteran was in a closely fought grappling match against Dillon Danis, but Shields declared the winner via the fastest escape time. Another notable loss came against Gary Tonon.
