With their deep knowledge of the sport, the two provide deep analysis into everything MMA. Recently, while talking about the exhibition clash between Ngannou and Fury, McCarthy did not sound very impressed.
According to the former referee, knocking down the boxing legend would not be a life-changing achievement for The Predator. While McCarthy did agree that it would be a pure showcase of Ngannou’s strength, he did not believe that it will bring in huge financial gains for the former UFC champ.

“How does his life change? Zero. If there’s one thing that people will automatically say about Francis, it’s what? (it’s that) He’s got punching power. So he drops Tyson Fury, okay, it’s impressive. But it doesn’t mean that he wins the exhibition. It doesn’t mean anything other than ‘he dropped him he’s got power’. Is it going to lead to another fight? You can’t say it is and it’s not going to change his life.”, said McCarthy.

Talking about this, the former UFC was in support of The Gypsy King for choosing to stay away from MMA. He said, “Tyson has already come out saying ‘No! I fight in a ring with gloves. I will not do a cage fight with him’, which smart move by Tyson. He’s dumb if he does.”
