Sean Strickland is one of the most outspoken fighters currently under the UFC banner. The middleweight star has a no-filter persona, whereby he speaks his mind with little to no care for his choice of words. Strickland also advocates for a ‘sigma’ mentality and his stances entertain some while it offends others. His most recent take is also bound to create some noise, given that it is on a subject that even the great Joe Rogan endorsed.

Sean Strickland goes after a popular trend practiced by Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan is a huge advocate for ice baths. The 55-year-old often shares clips of himself taking a cold plunge. Images of Rogan suffering through an ice bath are common meme material among fans as well. The BJJ black belt, however, is serious about his ice bath and emphasizes its benefits for physical health.

However, Sean Strickland has one problem with it. He does not like how people broadcast the fact that they take ice baths. In another typical Strickland tweet, he wrote, “If you take an ice bath and don’t post a picture with gay inspirational quote did you even take one?!? How did this become a thing…..”

The #7 ranked middleweight also expressed doubt over how it became a trend.

Incidentally, Strickland is not the only one who has taken a swipe at Rogan for his cold plunges. Fellow stand-up comedian Theo Von also made a joke about Rogan’s cold plunge once. However, he complimented Rogan immediately after that for his healthy practices.

It is unlikely that Strickland’s comments will deter Rogan from his practices. The former ‘Fear Factor’ host advocates for such resilient workout methods ardently. In a recent JRE episode, he told Russell Brand about the rigorous exercise regimens he follows to keep himself mentally and physically fit.
