ACL stands for anterior cruciate ligament, a strong tissue band connecting the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia). These injuries often happen during sports involving sudden stops, direction changes, jumping, and landing.
Typically, an ACL injury is accompanied by a pop sound or sensation in the knee, followed by swelling and pain. The knee may also feel unstable. Treatment options vary, from rest and physical therapy to surgical ligament replacement, followed by more therapy
Zuckerberg revealed in the post that he was training for an MMA fight scheduled for next year. The injury has derailed his plans but he stated that he will be still looking to compete after he has recovered.
