People often criticize the UFC president, Dana White, for paying less to the fighters. The issue of the promotion not paying its fighters well has once again surfaced after UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja came forward with a shocking revelation. Pantoja recently won a glorious victory against his longtime rival, Brandon Moreno. ‘The Cannibal’ and ‘The Assassin Baby’ came face-to-face at UFC 290. After a neck-to-neck battle, the judges scored in favor of Pantoja after a five-round bout.

This spectacular win made him the new flyweight champion. However, the Brazilian fighter’s journey to the title shot was not an easy one. Just two years before his title win, he struggled to pay his bills. During the time of COVID-19, when everything came to a standstill, it was fighters like Pantoja who had to go for a second job to survive.
