Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and Ilia ‘El Matador’ Topuria both had an impressive outing in their respective bouts at UFC London. Both the fighters faced early adversaries, but only to secure emphatic victories.
Apart from these similarities, another big same factor about the two is their bitterness towards each other. The two young fighters dislike each other and have clearly stated it in their post-fight octagon interviews.

Even before that, the two had a heated altercation in the fighter hotel ahead of UFC London.
Thus, the two gave statements on what happened during the media day. Topuria even opened up about the Russian connection with Paddy Pimblett scuffle. However, ‘The Baddy’ dismissed Topuria’s claim and planned to call out Mark Zuckerberg and went off on the CEO of Facebook.
Though Topuria focused his octagon interview around, ‘Blonde B**ch’, Pimblett, the Scouser threatened Mark Zuckerberg as planned. However, Pimblett, though dismissively, mentioned Topuria and called him ‘Mr. Hand Sanitizer Boy’ in the octagon interview.
With the performances, both fighters put on and the surrounding heat, a future match-up between these rising superstars is inevitable.

Pimblett versus Topuria: Fight breakdown
The Climent Club fighter is undefeated in his MMA career with a 12-0 record. After his UFC debut, he has finished all three of his last fight in impressive fashion. The German-born fighter has a strong grappling game and heavy hands. Thus, he is comfortable fighting any style.
Whereas, the Next Generation MMA Liverpool representative has an 18-3 record and has made a splash in the UFC after already being a superstar in the UK MMA world. The Scouser has a very good ground game. However, his striking has seen some holes that someone of a caliber of Topuria could exploit.
Could Ilia Topuria knockout Paddy Pimblett?
The undefeated fighter presents a lot of issues stylistically for the Liverpool-born. With Topuria’s top pressure nullifying the jiujitsu of Pimblett, there’s a high chance the British fighter would keep the fight on the feet. However, that’s where the bigger problem arises.

Topuria has brutal power in his hands; ‘The Baddy’ got tagged in both of his UFC fights. Though he has a good chin, he is fighting with an open stance and is not efficient in his striking as he is in his ground game. Thus, Pimblett would have to be extra careful against Topuria and not rely on his chin to do the work.
