Joe Rogan hosted potentially the most important episode in the story of his podcast when he interviewed Donald Trump on Friday, a potential benefit to Trump’s bid for president just days before the election. Especially as Kamala Harris may no longer appear on the show. Trump confirmed that he would meet in Austin, Texas, with “The Joe Rogan Experience,” as it truly hyped up the fans.
Fans were on the edge of their seats as they know Rogan has interviewed people like billionaire Elon Musk and Alex Jones, and while Rogan has hosted politicians like Sen. Bernie Sanders before, he has never interviewed a sitting president or former president. And well, the episode truly lived up to its hype. But do you know that the podcast couldn’t have taken place if a major event did not take place? So what was the event that changed the course of the future? Well, it was the assassination attempt at the former POTUS.
Back in July, Donald Trump was shot at the start of a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, that hit the top of his right ear. When he felt the impact of the bullet, the former president put his hand to his face, crouched down, and was immediately evacuated by Secret Service agents, with his face bloodied and his fist raised to his followers. This moment truly helped earn major support for Trump as per polls, and it also was the moment that made Joe Rogan want to bring the former POTUS on his podcast.

While in conversation on JRE #2219, Donald Trump wondered the reason behind the podcast host being open to bringing him on the show. Especially when Joe Rogan has often been critical of the former president. It was then that the UFC commentator revealed that he was only convinced of calling Trump to the podcast after the failed assassination attempt. He said that it was all about the timing of the incident and trying to capitalize on it. “I was, uh, once they shot you. I was like, he’s got to come in here. It’s all about timing. It’s all about the timing. I think timing’s perfect.”

He further went on to ask the Republican candidate to show the scar on his ear, something that truly intrigued the podcast host as it really healed well. But this truly was a scary experience for Donald Trump. Something that almost happened again as yet another man tried to pull off a similar stunt just sometime after the first attempt.

Just two months and two days after the failed attack on Donald Trump during a rally in Butler (Pennsylvania), there was what the FBI confirmed to be a second assassination attempt on the former president and Republican candidate. However, this time it took place while he was playing golf at his private club in West Palm Beach., Florida. Luckily Trump was not injured in the incident, which took place around 1:30 p.m. local time.

As confirmed at a press conference by the authorities, one of the secret service agents accompanying Trump, who was an advance guard one or two holes ahead of him while playing golf, saw the barrel of a gun coming out of the bushes. The Republican candidate was just between 350 and 500 meters from the place. The officer then shot at the suspect, who left the bushes and fled in a car.
A witness saw him run out and get into a car, of which he took a photograph. That allowed local police to identify the license plate and the vehicle, which was intercepted. The suspect was then taken into custody. All the fans of Trump would surely be glad that their leader is alive and well. And hopefully, they enjoyed his podcast appearance as well. But what did you think of the visit? Let us know in the comments.
