‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ is a podcast that features experts from various backgrounds. It’s not just mixed martial artists and personalities associated with sports. Joe Rogan invites scientists, authors, fellow podcasters, and even zoologists. The most recent invitation was extended towards the man who cuddles with snakes, Mike Kimmel, popularly known as the ‘Python Cowboy’.
During their conversation on episode #2020 of the JRE, Kimmel recounted an event where he encountered a 17 feet long Burmese python in the Everglades. Although he usually encounters larger snakes and even catches them, this python was a different case. It bit the famed snake catcher. But instead of running away, he began filming it, turning the incident into an event that left the JRE host with eyes wide open.

During the conversation, Kimmel proudly revealed that he had handled snakes as long as 30 feet long. However, there was one incident ended up with a python’s fans embedded in Kimmel’s arm. But the man didn’t stop filming. It made Rogan say, “Holy sh*t, man! And you’re filming this.”
Jamie Vernon pulled up the video that attracted quite a lot of netizens. The video showed the snake catcher escaping the python’s unwanted tourniquet while setting up his cameras. He declared that he had his shoulder camera on and placed a GoPro on the ground.
Kimmel then told, “And to be honest with you, the first thought that went through my mind when that thing bit me, and I have all these cameras going, and I see all this blood is this video is definitely going viral. Just don’t die!” But Rogan had a reply in store. He said, “It would really go viral if you died.”
Rogan stirred the internet with a slithering retweet
Earlier in February 2023, the UFC color commentator took to Twitter and reshared a post that shook the entire internet. The post showed a video where two huge snakes were hiding above a ceiling. The snakes were humongous, indeed. They were so large that when the rescuers tried to take them out, they crashed along with the entire ceiling. Without a doubt, the fans were baffled by the scenes.

Nevertheless, Rogan also showed his concern regarding the impact of invasive species on the ecosystem. He declared that Everglades was nothing but a “big monster soup” where pythons gulped down alligators. Although he is a great animal lover, he wasn’t in support of keeping the snakes as pets only to have them causing trouble in the neighborhood.
