Many Irish actors have made their mark in Hollywood, including the likes of Liam NeesonPierce Brosnan, and Saoirse Ronan, to name a few. However, Conor McGregor believes that Cillian Murphy has represented his native country of Ireland better than any other Irish actor in Hollywood. During a recent interview, he said, “The Irish are doing tremendously well… We are great with our tongues… we’re poets, you know, we say in Ireland and Cillian’s a great representation of us.”

Cillian Murphy’s ‘Oppenheimer’ set the Academy Awards abuzz. The movie won a total of seven awards, which was a record as well. While the 47-year-old reached new heights in 2024, Conor McGregor also made his mark as well. The former UFC champion recently claimed to have broken a record that was set by Dwayne Johnson.

‘The Notorious’ broke ‘The Rock’s record

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest action stars in the world right now. The former WWE champion even became the highest-paid actor in the world in 2023. However, Conor McGregor recently made claims of surpassing ‘The Rock’ in one aspect of the movie industry. The Irishman mentioned in a since-deleted post on X to be the highest-paid debut actor of all time, earning more than ‘The Rock’ did back in 2001.
