Leon Edwards knocking out Kamaru Usman has been etched into MMA history as one of the most epic comebacks. The build-up and the talk from Edwards’ corner all added up perfectly for the Birmingham-based Southpaw to deliver the head kick that made him a champion. The 31-year-old in an episode of ‘Believe you me’ hosted by Michael Bisping, narrated his perspective of the famous KO, in a somewhat chilling manner.
Interestingly, Bisping was the first British champion in the UFC while his guest Leon Edwards is only the second champ from the country.

Leon Edwards shares his perspective on knocking Kamaru Usman out cold
When Bisping recounted the KO of Usman, he mentioned Edwards not following it up with any strikes on the ground. In response, Edwards responds agreeing that there was no need to.
“The way he fell like a lawn chair…I seen the way he fell down… his head didn’t even touch the floor, it was like stiff.” recollected Edwards.
The Jamaican-born also disclosed that it was something that he had trained exclusively during his camp. He states, “We planned the whole training camp for that same technique to land…it was perfect.”
It sure was perfect, as the KO went on to win UFC’s Upset of the Year award.
During the conversation, when Bisping recollected Usman had his eyes open after getting knocked out, Edwards left fans with another memorable phrase.
“He was a dead man, he was shot dead Mike he was done.”
‘Rocky’ talks about Kamaru Usman’s rumored injury

“I am aiming towards that but if something changes in the meantime then we go from there but now I’m focussing on that trilogy in London.” expressed Edwards.
