Gane can achieve this by defeating the current UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou. Ngannou is not only the current champion, but he is also Ciryl Gane’s former teammate. Both fighters used to train at MMA Factory in France, under MMA coach Fernand Lopez. Ngannou left the gym after he had an altercation with Lopez.

In a leaked video that went viral on the internet last month, Francis Ngannou was seen ignoring Ciryl Gane and his former team, while he ran into them. The incident took place backstage at Madison Square Garden while the UFC 268 event was taking place. After this incident, the animosity between the two heavyweights has intensified.

‘Bon Gamin’ didn’t appreciate Francis Ngannou ignoring his former team. According to Ngannou’s former coach, Lopez trained Ngannou for free and fed him till he became a star. After he became an MMA sensation, Lopez asked him to pay a fee, which Ngannou refused to pay, which caused him to split from the Gym.
