Alexander Volkanovski continues his resin atop the UFC featherweight division. ‘The Great’ Volkanovski TKO’d interim champion Yair Rodriguez in the third round in their co-main event fight at UFC 290. Many predicted Rodriguez to be Volkanovski’s toughest challenge to date. However, the man from Down Under once again proved why he was the champion.

Volkanovski was coming off his loss against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in February. Despite a strong showing there, ‘Volk’ could not get the job done. Rodriguez had won the interim title that same night and set his sights on the title.
