‘Tarzan’ made his first-ever appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast and seemed happy to have become famous after his tremendous performance at UFC Vegas 76. However, when the 55-year-old commentator and podcast host asked him about his eye, Strickland had a rather unusual response for the unranked fighter. He said, “The guy [Abusupiyan Magomedov] was trying to f***ing salute…” However, as soon as he was about to say something more, Rogan stopped him.

Joe Rogan stated that he can’t say certain things that come to his mind. He said, “He’s Russian. You can’t say that. He only moved to Germany when he was 15.” Sean Strickland followed suit and claimed that he was just making a joke. “I am just joking,”said the 7th-ranked middleweight.

‘Tarzan’ was rocked in the first round

Joe Rogan mentioned how Strickland’s fighting style was nothing he’d seen before. It was distinctively different from any other UFC fighter on the roster. Furthermore, ‘Tarzan’ opened up about what inspired his style and said, “It’s more like boxing. I like to box.” In addition to that, he revealed how Abus Magomedov was acting while trying some kicks at him. Strickland said, “When he was throwing his kicks, he was kinda like giggling and laughing a couple of times.”

Once or twice, he knocked the wind out of me.” However, he was able to get his head straight and finish the fighter, earning him the bonus of $50,000.

Among the biggest questions following UFC Vegas 76 is whether Strickland will get a title shot after defeating Abus Magomedov. While Dricus du Plessis and Robert Whittaker will battle for the title contender status at UFC 290, ‘Tarzan’ may have to wait before he gets his hand on the UFC title.
