Sharaputdin Magomedov is one of the growing names in the UFC middleweight division and is currently unbeaten on his MMA journey. ‘Bullet’ has gathered a lot of attention in the MMA community for his controversial personality and impressive performance inside the Octagon. His persona and resume are enough to strike fear into his opponents, but there is one name that gives Magomedov second thoughts.

In a recent interview with Red Corner MMA, Magomedov said he wanted nothing to do on the mats with his compatriot and fellow undefeated MMA star Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘The Eagle’ was as dominant as they come, but he fought two weight classes below ‘Bullet’, so why was he hesitant to wrestle the Hall of Famer?

‘The Eagle’ proved his dominance inside the Octagon by beating some of the biggest names in the sport. One of his biggest assets inside the Octagon was his wrestling ability. During a recent Instagram video, Magomedov was asked whether he would like to face ‘The Eagle’ in a wrestling match. ‘Bullet’ replied: “No, I haven’t seen Khabib since then. Back then, I indeed wanted it, but not anymore. When I look at Khabib, he looks big. I wanted to wrestle him when he was around the same weight as me. I believe now he’s heavier than me and physically I wanted to feel that strength that he had when he was still competing. But now I understand that he is really… a bear, and he can just break me.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the biggest names in the UFC and has dominated the Octagon during his fighting days. The Dagestani fighter retired from the sport with a record of 29-0 and also as the lightweight champion. Nurmagomedov was last seen inside the Octagon against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.
