When you’re as big a name as Conor McGregor, you might make a few headlines without even trying. The Irish MMA star is currently gearing up for his return after a two-year injury layoff. His last outing at UFC 264 in July 2021 came to an unfortunate close as he suffered a horrific fracture in his left leg. But now McGregor looks healthy and well-recovered and has been talking about getting back in the cage. Recently, the former two-division champion also revealed that he had a TUF offer on the table. McGregor coached in season 22 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2015 against Urijah Faber. With no shortage of opponents for the UFC’s biggest PPV star, another TUF appearance could very well accompany his long-awaited return.
However, that is not all. McGregor’s star power is still so big that he often gets callouts from UFC champions. Inactive for two years and out of the UFC rankings, it would be hard to justify a title shot for McGregor upon his return. Nevertheless, it does not discourage fans from contemplating ‘The Notorious’ one in title fights.

Fans discuss Islam Makhachev trolling Conor McGregor
In the clip, both McGregor and Makhachev are riding bicycles without touching the handlebar. While McGregor appeared to be shadowboxing, the Dagestani appeared to be mimicking a run. However, this was fuel enough for fans to start another string of debates in the comments.
It did not take too long before fans of both superstars clashed in the comment section. While some appreciated the humor, others were more hostile.

If Conor gets back to an elite level..this fight would break the PPV record that Conor v. Khabib set‼️

Another fan simply hoped for McGregor to find his form again.
Prime Conor before Boxing was undoubtedly legend, I just hope he can find he’s hunger again in fighting after all time 🙏🏼👍🏼

If Islam got knocked out by a bum, imagine what prime Conor’s left hand would’ve done

One fan made a reasonable assumption that the two videos were unrelated and that Makhachev was simply having fun.

As it stands, Makhachev will face Alexander Volkanovski in a champion vs. champion fight at UFC 284 in February. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor has no opponent or date set for his return to action.
