Not wanting to participate in Joe Rogan’s podcast, the most popular in the United States, especially among white men, was one of the biggest campaign mistakes made by Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris that led to her defeat by Republican Donald Trump. This is the belief of several political analysts who are studying the causes of Harris’ defeat in last Tuesday’s presidential elections. But what if we tell you that Barack Obama too played a major part in Harris losing the elections?
Well, that is what has been revealed by Joe Rogan on his podcast episode with Elon Musk. Appearing on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the most popular podcast in the United States, was nevertheless a success for Republican candidate Donald Trump, who conducted a three-hour interview that has accumulated more than 47 million views. But the true turning point in Donald Trump’s life was attending the presidential dinner at the White House back when Barack Obama was President. But why? Since it was there that the former President unintentionally motivated Trump to run for president.
The reveal began when Rogan talked about Donald Trump as a person and how the media portrays him in a negative light. The UFC commentator stated that while Trump is “not a perfect person, no one’s a perfect person.” He then revealed how Barack Obama once poked Donald Trump during his speech at the presidential dinner by saying that while he is the President of the United States, it isn’t a post that the business tycoon will ever achieve in his life. A statement that made Donald Trump announce his run for president in 2015.

Joe Rogan said in episode #2223, “There’s—exactly—no one’s going to be a perfect person. But the thing they didn’t understand about Trump is he’s so crazy that if you tell him he can’t be president… like, remember Obama did that during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner? There’s one thing that I am that you’ll never be: president of the United States.’ And you see Trump in the audience going, ‘Okay, m*********er.'”

So indirectly, it is Obama who gave Donald Trump the motivation to run for president in the first place, and indirectly cost both Harris and Hillary Clinton. However, Joe Rogan also played a key role in helping Trump win since it was his interview with Trump that boosted the Republican candidate’s popularity to become President of the United States of America for the second time.

‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ is the largest podcast in the United States and has an audience that is largely young and male, a demographic in which future US President Trump demonstrated an advantage. Van Jones, who was an adviser to former President Barack Obama (2009-2017), recalled that Trump had “48 million views” of this interview on YouTube alone, a situation that the Democrat did not know how to take advantage of.

He already enjoyed the majority vote share of young white men, but now the podcast episode truly brought to him a new bunch of fans and followers. On the contrary, at the end of October, it was made public that Rogan rejected Harris’ campaign’s offer to record an interview because they proposed that the presenter travel to where the vice president was and offered him only one hour of recording. These were conditions that the comedian, former athlete, martial arts commentator, and host did not accept.
Instead, Harris relied on traditional media. But since the main demographic was relying on platforms such as podcasts, the Republican campaign made sure to make it their true target. Apart from the Joe Rogan Experience, they made appearances on ImPaulsive and the Nelk Boys to get more votes from the younger fanbase. Something that truly worked for them. But what do you think? Did Rogan actually play a major part in Donald Trump’s victory? Let us know in the comments.
