Charles Oliveira is without a doubt one of the best fighters on the UFC roster right now. The Brazilian has been a part of the UFC for over 10 years and is now the lightweight champion of the promotion. Oliveira currently holds the records for the most submission wins in the promotion by far. He also has had the most wins by finishes in the UFC.

The Brazilian started his UFC career off with a rocky start, but his hard work and self-belief got him to where he is today. The fighter showcases the best jiu-jitsu skills on the roster and he just seems to keep getting better by the day. Oliveira won the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship belt against Michael Chandler at UFC 262 and also defended it against Dustin Poirier at UFC 269.

Recently, Joe Rogan praised ‘Do Bronx’ after his recent win at UFC 269 on his podcast show.

“Look these guys are elite (his former opponents) right. They come close to beating him, but he finds a way to beat them, and the way he does it is so final. The way he beat Poirier man that choke was so f*cking good, it was so good. And that’s the same way the world found out about him was Efrain Escudero, who won the Ultimate Fighter. So he was a very good fighter himself. He fought Oliveira, and Oliveira took his back the same way. Standing up and choked him out, ” said Joe Rogan.

Rogan added,“He’s lethal, and he’s lethal in striking and lethal in his jiu-jitsu. But the difference is his level of jiu-jitsu is a leap higher than most of the people he’s competing against. “
