Anderson Silva will take on Uriah Hall in possibly his last fight inside the UFC octagon this Saturday inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas. There was a time when the young ‘Prime Time’ Hall was looked at as the fighter who would dethrone Anderson Silva’s then undisputed reign as the UFC’s middleweight champion. After an impressive run at The Ultimate Fighter back in 2013, Uriah Hall fell short against rising contender Kelvin Gastelum.

Back-to-back split decision defeats would keep him away from ever getting a chance to take on ‘The Spider’. Additionally, it was the same year when Silva would drop his middleweight gold to Chris Weidman.
However, it did not keep Uriah Hall away from achieving what he came to achieve. He picked up three straight victories, including an impressive unanimous decision win over Thiago Santos. Ahead of the much-anticipated match-up, former middleweight title contender and arch-nemesis Chael Sonnen shared his thoughts on Silva vs Hall.
Chael Sonnen feels Anderson Silva is an easy fight for Uriah Hall
Chael Sonnen is the only fighter who came close to beating Anderson Silva in his prime years as the middleweight champion. A lot has changed since then, as Sonnen has retired, and Silva is almost on his way out of the UFC. ‘The American Gangster’ weighed in on the match-up and stated that it would be an easy outing for #10 ranked middleweight contender Uriah Hall.

Sonnen said, “Taking on Uriah Hall. I am very close with Uriah Hall, I get nervous before Uriah’s fights. And Uriah is in an interesting spot in this regard… Uriah is just simply the better fighter right now. He is just simply faster, he’s just simply still within his step… He’s just simply going to win.”

Uriah Hall is coming off consecutive victories. Having won three of his last four fights, ‘Prime Time’ is the favorite going into this fight. He will look to extend his winning streak with a win over Anderson Silva.
On the other hand, the former champion has confirmed that it could well be his last fight inside the UFC Octagon. Needless to say, he would like to exit with flying colors.
