UFC commentator and famous podcast host, Joe Rogan, has always been vocal about various issues that currently plague our society. He recently addressed people neglecting to take proper care of their health in an episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

Joe Rogan is an avid fitness enthusiast. It is natural for him to take care of his health considering his work and background revolve around combat sports. However, he recently addressed how important it is to take health concerns seriously. He even took a shot at those people who provide medical advice but fail to follow basic health maxims.

Joe Rogan takes a shot at Bill Gates’ hypocrisy

The 55-year-old podcast host invited American neuroscientist Andrew Huberman on the #1958 episode of JRE as they discussed people giving medical advice. Rogan claims that not everybody is qualified to give medical advice to others if they do not take care of their own health. He took the example of tech billionaire Bill Gates and said, “Bill Gates is a great example. He’s got that big fat belly, and he’s telling people they have to get vaccinated.” (2:08:56)

He added that this kind of hypocrisy can only lead to bigger problems. Rogan said, “This kind of binary thinking, this kind of ridiculous way of looking at the world through only pharmacological interventions, through only medicine… There are so many different things you have to do to be healthy and it’s too much work for most people.”

Rogan’s advice for people regarding proper healthcare

Joe Rogan also talks about the many things people don’t like to follow in terms of taking care of their health. He said,

“They [most people] are not going to weight train enough, they are not going to eat the proper foods, they are not going to supplement their hormones, they are not going to do blood work on a regular basis, and have someone who is a qualified physician who goes over that blood work with them and gives them a comprehensive understanding of what they need to do or not.”

The 55-year-old reiterated the importance of monitoring the heart rate, vitamin levels, blood pressure, and similar that kinds of information. He suggests that people should get a comprehensive understanding of what steps they should or should not take for the sake of their health.
