Joe Rogan is a man with many talents. A stand-up comedian, a podcaster, a TV show presenter with Fear Factor, and the commentator for the UFC. So it is no wonder that he has attracted a fanbase from different walks of life and is not just limited to MMA. However, being so famous also brings its own sets of challenges.

One of which is constantly being under public scrutiny, irrespective of whether it is about something you do or who you are. One such incident has come to light as Rogan recently uploaded a picture with venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and engineer Chamath Palihapitiya. A picture that sparked a major debate online on the actual height of the UFC commentator.

Chamath Palihapitiya recently appeared as a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, and as a result, the two clicked a photograph together as they stood side-by-side. Since Rogan is the host of the biggest podcast on Spotify, it took no time for the picture to go viral. One of the major platforms it gained major attention on was Reddit.

But why did it garner so much attention? Well, that’s because fans can witness a major height difference between the entrepreneur and the podcaster. Although Rogan himself never confirmed his height, rumors around the internet claim that he is 5’7. However, a user posted the aforementioned photo on the Joe Rogan subreddit and asked the internet, “Can’t decide if Joe’s a tall 5’7 or a short 5’8.” A question that seriously baffled many.

As soon as the picture hit the internet, it left many fans to share their guesses. While some believed his claim of meeting the national average by being 5’8, others believed that the stand-up comedian is much shorter than claimed. And before you know it, a serious debate began in the comments.

Fans speculate about the correct height of Joe Rogan

While some users believed the internet and called Rogan 5’7 or 5’8, most on the subreddit begged to differ. According to some witnesses who have met the podcaster in person, Rogan is somewhere between 5’5 and 5’6 instead. As some commented, “He’s about 5’5 with shoes. I’ve seen him live at the comedy store a few times.” “He’s like 5’5 at best, lol,” and “He’s definitely 5’6” on a good day.”

However, according to some on Reddit, Rogan is even smaller than we imagined. As a few commented, Rogan is actually 5’3, but he wears shoes with heels in the end to make him appear a lot taller than he is. Some of these comments were, “He’s 5’3. 5’7 in his lifts but claims 5’8. This is the final word on Joe’s height. Case Closed.” and “He’s defo 5’3, probably 5’6 with the heels on.”

Another user believed that Rogan is 5’3. However, it shouldn’t matter since he has earned major success in life. “My guess was 5’3 or 5’4. But he’s rich.”

Some users even claimed that Rogan is shrinking. Well, not literally. The fact that the JRE host lifts weights and gets larger day by day makes him appear much shorter than he is. An illusion that some users pointed out. As they wrote, “Joe’s problem is that he keeps getting wider. That makes a short guy look even shorter.” and “Getting shorter by the day 🤣” Well, it surely looks like fans are really into this mystery. So do you think Rogan should give a definitive answer in one of his upcoming podcast episodes? Let us know in the comments.
