UFC’s BMF champion, Jorge Masvidal, is ready to be back in action. ‘Gamebred’ was baptized by Kamaru Usman at the main event of UFC 261 as he suffered a brutal knockout loss. The ATT superstar is looking to work his way back to another title shot and looking for a suitable opponent.
Many have suggested that it is time that Masvidal puts his BMF title on the line and fights someone like Conor McGregor. Former UFC star, Chael Sonnen has been the biggest advocate for that match-up. While it will be a treat for the fans to see two of the biggest UFC stars share the Octagon, Masvidal believes that’s not a fight McGregor wants.
“I’m full man size. He’s like a very small, fragile dude, He don’t want that. You can’t pay that man enough money, so that one’s OK. Don’t need it,” said Masvidal in a recent interview with MMAJunkie. “The guy that gets me the closest and the fastest to the title bout,” he added about a potential next fight for him.

‘Gamebred’ also added that the fighter that will get him closest to a title shot is who he wants next. “That’s what I’m going to find out in two weeks, Whoever the UFC’s like, ‘Man, this guy gets you quicker than anybody else and blah, blah, blah,’ that’s it. That’s what I have to take,” said Masvidal.

Conor McGregor vs Jorge Masvidal needs to happen at some point
McGregor and Masvidal are two of the biggest superstars of the current roster. Also, both of them are magnificent strikers. While Masvidal has left his lightweight days way behind him, McGregor has fought at welterweight 3 times. So, a fight between them is, of course, a possibility.
But it seems like Masvidal will fight either Gilbert Burns, Leon Edwards, and Nate Diaz next time he steps inside the Octagon. What the UFC has in store of ‘Gamebred‘, remains to be seen.
