Dana White has repeatedly tackled situations where the public demanded answers regarding the amount the fighters were getting paid. Talks about underpaid UFC athletes have become the trend that everyone seems to follow. Almost every single fighter has come up and declared that the UFC paid a lot less than the other sports. One name that came up multiple times was none other than Paulo Costa. In a conversation with Ariel Helwani on ‘The MMA Hour’, the Brazilian revealed the amount he was getting paid and declared that he wanted more.
However, the UFC president seemingly addressed the issue. He appeared in the latest episode of ‘Bussin’ with the Boys’ and revealed the probable reason behind everyone talking about underpaid UFC fighters. Furthermore, White talked about Costa’s declaration and deemed it as nothing but a lie.

The UFC president recently appeared on episode #205 of ‘Bussin’ with the Boys’. Without a doubt, the conversation about the controversial fighter’s pay was unavoidable. He had to justify why the UFC gets so much criticism for not paying the fighters.
Immediately, White answered that it was because he never revealed how much the UFC offered to the fighters. White replied, “Because I don’t tell anybody what they get paid, I don’t tell anybody what they get paid, and guess what, neither do the fighters.” He further revealed that there was no particular “gag order” for the warriors. They were free to reveal what they earned.

Furthermore, the UFC boss talked about an incident involving ‘Borrachinha’. He said, “I just had a situation recently. And I’ll tell you who it was. It was Paulo Costa. Okay. He’s a f**king lunatic, he acts like a lunatic. And he came out publicly and kind of said what we offered him. It was the furthest f**king thing from the truth. It wasn’t true.”
Thus, he tried to set the record straight.
Paulo Costa wanted more to fight Robert Whittaker
In an episode of ‘The MMA Hour’, ‘Borrachinha’ talked about his issues with pay. He revealed that the UFC guaranteed him $70,000 dollars to fight Robert Whittaker in Perth, Australia. However, the offer seemed a bit too less for Costa.
