Once friends and now very bitter enemies, Jorge Masvidal‘s feud with Colby Covington was one of the hottest rivalries in UFC history. ‘Gamebred’ recently shared insights into the kind of person he believes his former American Top Team member is, ending any hopes of both fighters mending fences. Eight years… that’s how long Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington were friends. There’s no doubt that both UFC stars know each other pretty well, given that they lived together at one point, and the fastest UFC knockout record holder came clean about ‘Chaos’s personality. While labeling Covington as a “f***ing b*tch,” Masvidal claimed that his former friend isn’t the kind of person he portrays to the world.
“He’s a fake, bro. He will meet you and he’ll try to best friend you and this and that. He’s a f***ing chameleon, man.”, Jorge Masvidal told former UFC fighter Jake Shields on the latter’s YouTube channel. As evidence for his claim, ‘Gamebred’ revealed how Colby Covington played two sides when it came to the topic of religion.
“He’s the type of dude that – I saw it happen many times, you know – he knows I’m very religious, so, it was just me and him talking about religion, he [was] like, ‘Open up, man. I’m so religious, man. I believe in God. You know, I know there’s an intelligent design out there, and go, like, all into it,” Jorge Masvidal stated, before continuing. “If we’re in a group of people, and like two, three people are like atheists, he’d be like, ‘No, I don’t believe in God, you know, I went to college and this and that.”

“He’d be like, ‘Yeah, yeah. I agree, man. You know, it’s just like, the probability is too unlikely man’. I’d be like, ‘Motherf***er, you just told me like two [or] three weeks ago when you were high as a kite, how much you believe in God. Now, there’s no God?'”, said ‘Gamebred’ of his former teammate, who he labeled as ‘wishy-washy’. While Jorge Masvidal gave his account of Colby Covington, a new story came to light regarding the latter from Zimbabwean UFC fighter, Themba Gorimbo. According to the 14-4 African fighter, ‘Chaos’ turned out to be a turncoat teammate.

Colby Covington was recently accused of kicking his teammate out of the UFC PI
The story of Themba Gorimbo is one-of-a-kind, as the Zimbabwean fighter tackled some unfathomable hurdles on his way to the world’s premiere MMA organization. When he joined the MMA Masters gym, he used to sleep in the gym before moving into a house gifted to him by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. At that time in the gym, Gorimbo claimed that Colby Covington used to help him out, which led him to call the welterweight star a “great man.”

However, things seem to have changed, as just a month ago, Themba Gorimbo accused Colby Covington of rallying for his exit from the UFC Performance Institute. In a confession that appears to align with Jorge Masvidal’s recent statements about ‘Chaos’, the Zimbabwean fighter said, “I was at the PI training and then, as I got on the treadmill, Colby walks in and then he kicks me out of the PI… he didn’t tell me directly. He told the guy [I’m the gym], and the guy came to me [and] He’s like, ‘Themba, he’s cutting weight.’ I understand, maybe he’s cutting weight, but you know, I’m your teammate.”
Colby Covington hasn’t responded to Themba Gorimbo’s claims, but he does take a shot here and there at Jorge Masvidal. Do you think Colby Covington will respond to Masvidal’s latest scathing attack on him, in Jake Shields’ podcast? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
