With all the UFC business wrapped up for 2024, it’s time for the fraternity to take some rest and enjoy some quality time with friends and family since it’s Christmas. Just like the fans, these fighters and former fighters have also got their festivities going. As we wish you on this auspicious occasion, let us take at some of the UFC figures and their Christmas celebrations.

Fighters like Michael Chandler, Michael Bisping, Ilia Topuria, and many more have shared instances from their Christmas celebrations on social media, along with their wives and girlfriends, a term Ian Garry’s wife made famous. Without any further ado, let’s dive right into their festive updates!

Ilia Topuria

Ilia Topuria had the most successful year of his MMA career in 2024. He not only captured the featherweight title after beating down Alexander Volkanovski, but he also became the only fighter to finish Max Holloway with a knockout. So yes, it’s a year worth celebrating, but not just because his year went great. This year, Topuria and his wife, Giorgina Uzcategui, celebrated Christmas for the first time with their daughter, along with the rest of the family.

“There comes a day that you find out that gifts are not under the tree but around the table,” Topuria wrote on Instagram. “First Christmas of MANY more for my little angel. Big thanks to our sweet grandma for making it all so special.”

Ilia Topuria even shared a picture of him with his wife from last year, when they announced the pregnancy news. Now, let’s move over and check out what’s cooking in Michael Chandler’s household.

Michael Chandler

While 2024 was a great one for Ilia Topuria, the same cannot be said for Michael Chandler. After failed plans for the fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 303, ‘Iron’ decided to gamble and return to action against Charles Oliveira, which didn’t turn in his favor, although there were some memorable moments. However, Chandler has his hopes up about a big fight next, while he waits for the ‘red panty night’ clash against McGregor. Now, it is time for some festivities and he’s enjoying it wholly with his family.

Michael Chandler shared some snaps from the Christmas service he attended with his two sons and his wife, Brie Willett. He will be closing this year on a happy note and so is former double champion, Henry Cejudo, who has had quite a similar ride in his last few fights like Chandler.

Henry Cejudo

Since making his return following retirement, things just haven’t clicked for Henry Cejudo, who came up short against Alajmain Sterling and then got rag-dolled by Merab Dvalishvili. While things haven’t worked out quite well inside the Octagon, ‘Triple C’s been doing well in his podcasting endeavor alongside former champion Kamaru Usman in their ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast. And back home, things are as good as they can be.

Henry Cejudo and his wife, Ana Karolina Cejudo, also shared a post from their Christmas celebrations, having their kids by their side and a Santa Claus. It’s a wholesome sight, nonetheless. Coming up next is yet another former divisional champion, and the current bantamweight champion, Max Holloway.

Max Holloway

Max Holloway might have lost his chance to become a featherweight champion again, but he still has his BMF title with him. While there’s no update on whom he will be fighting next, ‘Blessed’ doesn’t look like he’s got too much going on this Christmas.

Judging by his activity on social media, Max Holloway just shared a story on his Instagram handle of a beautifully decorated Christmas that has a few pictures of his family members, including his wife, Alessa Quizon. However, the BMF champ could be having a great time and may have decided to not post too much on social media, which is understandable. So, let’s move on to the next one.

Michael Bisping

Joe Rogan might have stopped traveling to different countries and commentating in those pay-per-views, but for former middleweight champion Michael Bisping, it’s not the same. ‘The Count’ has become one of the key broadcast members of the UFC, who also handles the MMA media duties for TNT Sports in the United Kingdom. So, there’s no question that Bisping deserves a break and Christmas seems to have done the trick once again.

Just like Max Holloway, Michael Bisping also kept his social media activity brief and gave his fans a look into his Christmas celebrations on an Instagram story. The whole Bisping family (including Rebecca Bisping) was there, along with relatives. ‘The Count’ looked especially excited in that short clip about the wine that his daughter, Ellie Bisping, prepared for the occasion.

Jose Aldo

Moving over to Brazil, ‘The King of Rio’ Jose Aldo has had a mixed bag of results since making his UFC return. After beating Jonathan Martinez, the former 2-time featherweight champion succumbed to a decision loss against Mario Bautista. Since then, we haven’t heard much from Aldo, and his message on Christmas was also a brief one.

“Merry Christmas. Feliz navidad. Feliz Natal,” wrote Jose Aldo on his Instagram stories as he shared a picture of him with his wife, Vivianne Aldo. It seems like it’s all about family for Aldo this Christmas, which is also the same for a fellow welterweight fighter.

Brian Ortega

Brian Ortega had a mixed bag this year when it came to his performances within the Octagon. In February, he was able to exact revenge against Yair Rodriguez with a first-round submission at UFC Fight Night 237. He wasn’t so fortunate in his next outing as he faced Diego Lopes in a losing effort at UFC 306 at The Sphere in Las Vegas, in September. However, that didn’t stop the Mexican-American from celebrating the holiday season with his family.

‘T-City’ shade a picture of him with his kids and his wife, Stephanie Ortega, wishing everybody a “Merry Christmas” on Instagram. Brian Ortega would be hoping that things work out for him next year as he’s hinted at a probable move to lightweight. It remains to be seen how things pan out for the former featherweight title contender, as we move on to our next entry in this list.

Bryce Mitchell

Bryce Mitchell is quite an outspoken Christian who never misses a moment to thank his lord and savior Jesus Christ. So, it’s safe to assume ‘Thug Nasty’ is hunkering down this holiday season to celebrate the birth of Christ with his family.

The Arkansas native capped off 2024 with a devastating elbow knockout of Kron Gracie. Surely that helps him inch closer to title contention, but in the meantime, ‘Thug Nasty’ shared a snap from his Christmas celebration with the caption, “Making Christmas dinner with my [heart]s .. nothing better,” on Instagram. He shared a picture of him with his son and his three pet dogs, with his wife, Erin Handlow, presumably standing behind the camera.

Paulo Costa

Paulo Costa, the UFC’s resident funnyman and troll, had an abysmal year with back-to-back losses to former middleweight champions Sean Strickland and Robert Whittaker. Since then he’s been out of sight, out of mind, at least when it comes to his presence in the fight game. But again, the holiday season is no reason for him to brood over his fast shortcomings this year.

Just like the few aforementioned names, decided to share a small look into his Christmas celebrations via Instagram stories. In fact, he shared a story of his longtime girlfriends, Tamara Alves‘s post, with her holding a box of roses. Maybe this Christmas is all about Paulo Costa and his partner, as we wait to see what awaits for Paulo Costa in 2024.

Meanwhile, let us know how you are celebrating your Christmas in the comments down below.
