Tony Ferguson is one of the best lightweight fighters to grace the octagon. He holds the record for most consecutive wins in UFC LW history with 12 wins. However, he has lost his last three fights.
Dana White has hinted that a potential fight between Ferguson, and Michael Chandler, is in the works. Though these two have never competed against each other, they had a viral moment in the pre-fight press conference for UFC 262. When UFC gave Chandler the title shot, with just one fight in the division, it did not impress Ferguson. He said that Chandler is getting the ‘Dana White Privilege‘.

Tony Ferguson will look to get back in the winning ways
Ferguson’s last opponent was, current number 3 ranked, Beneil Dariush. Despite his valiant efforts, Ferguson lost the fight by unanimous decision.

Prior to that, he lost back-to-back fights against Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. Ferguson did not look good in these fights. Ferguson, who at one point was on a 12 fight win streak, has not won a fight since June 2019. In fact, his last two wins are against fighters like Anthony Pettis and Cowboy Cerrone, both of them not in their prime.
Ever since his return to the octagon, after he blew his LCL prior to his unification bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018, Ferguson has not fought the best fighters in the division. Ferguson, 37, still has the cardio to go with anybody in the division. Even though he lost the fight against Oliveira, he’s the only fighter to survive ‘Do Bronx’. Oliveira has finished 9 of his last 10 fights.
