This statement means a lot, as Gaethje is known for his striking abilities and is not known to back down from a challenge. Therefore, it would be interesting to see if Chandler can live up to his promise.

‘Iron’ is coming into this fight on the back of a loss to Charles Oliveira. Chandler lost the fight for the UFC title against Oliveira at UFC 262 via a 2nd round TKO. This was just the second UFC fight of Chandler’s career, having made his UFC debut against Dan Hooker at UFC 257.

Meanwhile, Gaethje is also coming into the fight on the back of a loss. ‘The Highlight’ had faced Khabib Nurmagomedov at the UFC at the UFC254 event and lost that fight via a2nd round submission. Gaethje has not competed since and would love to come back with a victory.

What to expect from the fight between Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler?

Justin Gaethje is one of the most feared fighters in the lightweight division. The fighter has won 19 of his fights via knockout and is considered one of the best strikers in the division. Therefore, many people believe that Chandler will have a tough time dealing with Gaethje’s lighting quick hands and his takedown defense.

However, Chandler is no slouch as well and had shown his incredible fighting skills against Hooker. However, the former Bellator champion should still watch out for Gaethje’s incredible power. While this fight may be tough to call, it surely is going to be a treat to watch when these two talented fighters compete inside the Octagon.
