Fans react to Holly Holm’s return to the octagon

Some fans were happy to see the former UFC bantamweight champion return to the octagon. A social media user tweeted, “Her ufc career is literally that one fight with Ronda.”

Though the former kickboxing legend has 14 professional MMA wins in her career, her most famous conquest came against former UFC bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey. Being the first one to beat ‘Rowdy’, Holm’s win came to be known as one of the biggest upsets in the history of women’s MMA.

It’s no secret that Holm is in need of a win as she has gone 4-6 after the Rousey fight. Hence, another fan tweeted “She needs a win. I love watching her fight. 👊🏼 @HollyHolm let’s go!!!!”

Many fans did not want to see the former bantamweight queen perform in the main event of the card. Fans were seen despising the news through tweets. One of them said, “This should be the featured fight……….of the prelims.”

Another fan added, “smh, why does she always get to headline.”

Fans also took to Instagram to share their opinion. One of the fans commented that Holm would win by unanimous decision. Meanwhile, a bunch of fans discredited the main event and believed that Holm doesn’t deserve to fight in the main card.
